Behavioral monitoring and response are important parts of the student conduct program. Responses may include consultation, teaching, prevention, developmental interventions and treatment referrals.

The serves as 伊人直播app’s central point of contact for threat assessments but is not a punitive or disciplinary board. The focus is on Behaviors of Concern and the determination of positive resolutions. [NeSCC Policy ]

Committee Responsibilities

  • Reviewing referrals from the online system
  • Responding to reports of disruptive, problematic, or concerning behavior or misconduct
  • Identifying behaviors of concern affecting an individual’s well-being, the well-being of others, or the welfare of campus
  • Investigating student and employee behavioral issues
  • Performing threat assessments
  • Determining the best mechanisms for support, intervention, warning/notification and response
  • Deploying College and community resources to students and employees experiencing behavioral issues
  • Maintaining a system for tracking behavioral issues

BITA assessments do not replace or supersede any state or federal laws regarding public safety and law enforcement. The National Behavioral Intervention Team Association’s (NaBITA) is utilized to determine risk to the College Community. Through this threat assessment matrix, the College’s BITA team convenes to investigate reports, review data and determine next steps, including referrals to a of College and community professionals.

The committee shall meet monthly and as additional needs arise. Members shall receive immediate notification of behaviors of concern through emails from the online system. The BITA Committee may discuss student issues and progress during meetings and through team correspondence. Confidential student information will only be released to college administration and law enforcement in the event of an emergency or threat.

The BITA Committee is chaired by the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Services and includes the following: Vice President for Institutional Excellence & Student Success (Vice Chair), Assistant Director of Policy and Compliance, Chief of Police, Coordinator of Accessibility Services/Success Coach, Director of Student Advocacy Programs/Counselor, Deputy Chief of Police, Director of Human Resources, and Vice President for Academic Affairs (or designee). A Licensed Professional Counselor provides consulting services. Additional professional consultants may be utilized when deemed necessary.
